Traction force measurement according to WLTP – reliable, traceable, and practical

NewtonFinder™ measures the traction forces (Fx) acting on each wheel with high resolution and stability. This precise measurement technology forms the basis for determining rolling resistance in accordance with the WLTP standard – including automatic preconditioning and warm-up simulation.

The combination of flat track mechanics, dynamic simulation, and intelligent data evaluation produces results that correspond to real driving conditions. The NewtonFinder™ thus provides the data basis on which efficiency assessments, vehicle optimizations, and consumption analyses can be built.

Greater efficiency through simple operation and flexible sensor technology

The NewtonFinder™ is fully integrated into the AIP test bench automation (MCS) and can be operated intuitively via a modern HMI. Quick check functions simplify the start of test series, while integrated monitoring mechanisms ensure safe operation.

For more demanding requirements, the NewtonFinder™ can be expanded in a modular fashion – for example, with tire temperature measurement, thermocouples, laser-based vehicle positioning, or CAN integration. This ensures that the system can be adapted to new requirements in the long term.
