The P-JAMES driving robot was developed specifically for EMC chambers and operates entirely pneumatically – without any electric drives in the vehicle. This means that it remains completely interference-free even in strong electromagnetic fields and does not influence any measurements. P-JAMES is 100% EMC-neutral, free of interference emissions, and insensitive to external fields. At the same time, it controls pedals and controls precisely and reproducibly – ideal for demanding EMC tests.

Maximum flexibility in every vehicle class.

The modular concept of P-JAMES allows flexible adaptation to a wide variety of vehicle types – from cars to trucks. The sturdy base carrier is fixed in the vehicle and equipped with the required actuators, allowing vehicles to be quickly converted. This means that P-JAMES remains compact and versatile and can be supplemented with special extensions for trucks or individual applications as required.

P-JAMES takes over all central control functions – from throttle, brake, and clutch to start/stop controls, buttons, and touchscreens. Expansion modules such as the digital pneumatic output box enable additional actuators and individual functions. At the same time, P-JAMES is fully integrated into the test bench safety logic: in the event of an EMERGENCY STOP, the system immediately switches to a safe state and stops the vehicle in a controlled manner. P-JAMES thus offers versatile control with maximum safety.
