The AIR airflow fan simulates real airflow under laboratory conditions – precisely, dynamically, and in accordance with standards. It generates speed-proportional airflows of up to 160 km/h, provides the necessary engine cooling for WLTP and EPA test cycles, and supports resilient testing in climate chambers, endurance testing environments, and development test benches.
Thanks to its self-sufficient, plug-and-play design, integrated control electronics, and mobile base, the AIR can be flexibly integrated into any test bench landscape – without an additional control cabinet and with minimal effort.

Plug-and-play solution with precise, homogeneous airflow control

The AIR is a compact, self-sufficient airflow generator that operates without an external control cabinet and is ready for immediate use. Two powerful radial impellers generate a uniform airflow across the entire front of the vehicle – ideal for emissions and efficiency testing.

The air speed is infinitely variable and can be controlled in proportion to the vehicle speed. An electric height adjustment optimally aligns the airflow to a wide range of vehicle classes.

Easy alignment – manual or motorized “Easy to Move”

The AIR stands on a mobile, robust base frame and can be easily positioned in front of the vehicle. Sensor-monitored parking brakes guarantee safe operation.

The motorized “Easy to Move” version is available for frequently changing test environments: An electrically driven platform intuitively follows the operator's movements – ideal for large test halls, multiple test benches, or climate chambers.

Two performance classes for every test requirement

The AIR airflow fan is available in two performance versions:
  • AIR-40500-135: up to 40,500 m³/h, max. 135 km/h
  • AIR-48000-160: up to 48,000 m³/h, max. 160 km/h
Both models use a two-stage radial fan system for high dynamics, homogeneous distribution, and fast responses to changes in driving profile – ideal for standard-compliant WLTP, EPA, and US06 cycles.
